Title: Manual Machinist

Shift: Day Shift, 6am-2:30pm

Pay: $25.00+/hr

Who we are:

Our client is a leading global supplier of induction heating and melting equipment located near Brookfield, WI.

Manual Machinist Role:

Set-up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools (including manual lathes, milling machines, boring machines and grinders) to perform progressive machining operations on a diversified line of close tolerance work (metallic and non-metallic work pieces) requiring a high degree of skill and machining techniques.

Manual Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, etc.

  • Determine sequence of operations. Identify conformity of material requirements.

  • Use a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications.

  • Grind and adapt tooling and attachments for special work requirements.

  • Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling.

  • Able to hold tolerances as close as .0005”.

  • Accurately account for materials per the Bill of Material and ensure that those materials are issued properly to the job.

  • Must read and interpret blueprints.

  • Move materials with hand trucks, forklift trucks and cranes as required.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working area.

  • Must observe all safety regulations. May be required to perform various other functions or duties as directed by supervisor.

About You:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 1 or more years of verifiable experience in using a Manual Machining
