Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary: To provide respectful, friendly and cost effective quality care to our residents in their activities of daily living (ADL’s), while encouraging our residents to live an independent lifestyle. The dining team is essential for the overall care of our residents, by ensuring that each resident has exceptional meals and dining service.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Providing excellent customer service to residents, families, staff
  • Ensures compliance with Resident Rights
  • Perform all daily tasks in accordance with Universal Precautions, Sanitary and Infection Control policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all dining room and kitchen work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
  • Serves all meals in an professional and polite manner
    1. Beverages
    2. Salad/Soup
    3. Desserts
    4. Entrees
  • Dispose of all food and waste in accordance with policies
    1. Bussing tables during and after meal service
  • Dishwashing
    1. Resident’s dining ware
    2. Food preparation tools (pots/pans/utensils)
  • Complete daily and scheduled cleaning of kitchen and dining room
    1. Tables, Floors, Counters, Walls, dishwasher area
  • Training:
    1. Attends mandatory monthly All Staff meetings
    2. Attends/Completes training as assigned by supervisor
  • Reports hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents to Supervisor
  • Follow tasks sheets as assigned
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to see and hear (with or without restrictions)
  • Ability to positively communicate and interact with residents, families, and staff

  • Ability to use telephone, smartphone, pager, walkie talkies
  • Ability to move quickly in an emergency situation
  • Ability to push/pull (i.e. carts, residents in wheelchairs, tables)
  • Ability to engage in frequent walking, reaching, bending, pivoting, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling activities
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 80% of shift
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
