About the role


We are looking for a top-notch digital content writer who can develop a monthly/quarterly/yearly content plan and can consistently create compelling, informative, and accurate marketing copy. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to build compelling content that differentiates and highlights the value of Biz2Credit.


You will lead end-to-end creation of the content – deeply understanding Biz2Credit and their customers, supporting the content strategy alongside stakeholders, translating the complexity of lending automation and financial education into a customer-centric story, and partnering with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.


Duties include researching, writing, and editing website pages and blog, articles for SEO optimization and editorial alignment; developing content for marketing emails, social media, paid marketing; and more


Responsible for communicating milestones, tracking timelines, and project status.

Candidates must have strong writing and editing skills paired with a working knowledge of SEO best practices that can help us create content that ranks in search. Please be prepared to share samples of your work.


Key activities include

  • Create high-quality, SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, articles, website copy, case studies, white papers, and emails, focused on small business funding, financial management, and related topics.
  • Partner with SEO Content Manager and other team members to conduct thorough research on Keyword trends and opportunities, industry trends, competitor content, and target audience needs to develop relevant and compelling content ideas.
  • Use SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and meta tag creation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement content strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency, adhering to SEO optimization, brand guidelines, and tone of voice.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and others, and adjust strategies to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in SEO, content marketing, and small business lending.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, English, political science, or a related field
  • Experience in translating complex financial concepts into simplified messaging;5-7 years’ experience in a B2C company creating multi-faceted content for multiple platforms
  • Proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing SEO-driven content.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research tools, and content optimization techniques.
  • Ability to take ownership, prioritize, and efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, both in writing, design and in project completion
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, and familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Asana.
  • Commitment to quality; our clients have high standards, and we need someone who is equally experienced collaborating across departments to develop content and copy that aligns with the needs and goals of the business
