About your Team:

The trade surveillance group is looking for a full-stack engineer to assist in the development of visualizations and user interface components of our case management system and to aid our surveillance teams in their task of detecting and mitigating market manipulation, money laundering, and fraud. As a member of the case management development group, you will work closely with internal customers and senior management to implement, optimize, and scale our surveillance systems to handle new requirements as well as our anticipated large growth in customer activity.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

  • Optimizing and extending our transaction surveillance case management system
  • Developing automated visualization systems to help compliance staff understand trading activity
  • Working directly with internal end-users to refine user interfaces and identify future improvements
  • Taking ownership of internal user issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.

Recent projects in the group include:

  • A visualization tool that allows analysts to review complex order activity
  • Designing and implementing automation to eliminate previously manual aspects of users' workflows

What required skill do you need:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related area
  • Two plus years of professional UI development with js frameworks (Vue, Angular or React)
  • Two plus years of professional Java experience
  • Great attention to detail

Good to Haves:

  • Experience with Spring
  • Experience with vue.js
  • Knowledge of finance
