Brigham-Gill Village Collision is looking for an experienced Automotive Painter Apprentice to join our high-capacity auto body shop.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $18-25/hr

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure a smooth finish
  
• Support experienced painters with applying primer, base coats, and clear coats to vehicles
  
• Learn to operate and maintain painting equipment and tools, including spray guns, compressors, and mixing systems
  
• Help with buffing and polishing painted surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish
  
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to environmental regulations
  
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns
  
• Adhere to best practices when working in the auto body shop by reporting any accidents or incidents to management as soon as possible
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an autobody shop or similar environment is a plus, but not required
• Basic understanding of painting techniques and equipment is beneficial
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position
  
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
  
• Strong attention to detail
