Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Title: Crane Technician (in class and in the field training)

Location: Valparaiso, IN

Pay: $25/hr. - $38/hr.

Shift:1st Shift (Overtime and Weekends Available)

Company Vehicle & Company Cellphone Provided


Preferred: Industrial Electrical and Mechanical background


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, replace, repair, and wire high voltage electrical systems on overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging within manufacturing facilities.
  • Work with 480v and 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance work on a variety of equipment.
  • Work on motor controls and variable frequency drives.
  • Adhere to and enforce strict safety standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Document work orders and findings accurately.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Industrial high voltage electrical troubleshooting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical knowledge including experience with low voltage, high voltage, PLC, residential, commercial, and industrial systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge including experience with production machines, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Background as an electrician or mechanic.
  • Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical schematics.
