THE DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Typical hours will be Monday-Friday with a start time of 8:30 am. Flexibility will be needed based on the client's jobs which may include Saturdays and Sundays at times.

In this social services position, you help individuals with disabilities find and maintain employment. You work one-on-one with clients and offer hands-on support, assisting them with interview skills, creating resumes, and job searching. After a client lands a job, you provide ongoing support to ensure they can perform the job to their employer's standards. You solve problems as they come up and keep in contact with employers to help every client find professional success

To get started in this entry-level role, you just need to meet these qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Networking skills, communication skills, and the ability to build and foster relationships
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, clean driving record, and ability to transport individuals in your vehicle

Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.
