Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a vital member of our kitchen team, the Kitchen Employee is responsible for assisting in the preparation of high-quality food in our fast-casual restaurant setting. This role involves a range of tasks including food prep, cooking, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and adhering to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food items according to restaurant recipes and standards. Ensure ingredients are prepped and ready for use to streamline the cooking process.
  • Cooking: Cook and assemble dishes with speed and precision. Monitor food quality and presentation before sending to the front of house.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health codes and regulations related to food handling and preparation. Ensure proper food storage and waste disposal practices are followed.
  • Inventory Management: Report low stock levels to the General Manager or Keyholder. Help receive and organize deliveries with attention to proper food storage principles.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and front of house employees to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers. Communicate effectively to address any issues or changes in orders.

Qualifications:
  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
  • A passion for food and cooking.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
