Mental Health Assistant: $18.08 - $20.79 per hour based on experience.
Livingston County Community Mental Health Authority is excited to offer an Employee Signing Incentive to eligible new hires. Regular full-time employees will receive $2,000, less applicable taxes. Role:
Regular full-time position as Community Health Worker (eg. mental health assistant) for adults with chronic physical health conditions in the community. Under the guidance of the lead clinician, Community Health Workers will provide health coaching including education and skill-building in all areas of health and wellness. Community Health Workers will advocate for health needs, coordinate care with medical professionals, co-facilitate health groups and assist consumers in accessing community resources. Services are primarily provided with consumers in healthcare settings and in the community. Community Health Workers facilitate care coordination activities with mental health and medical providers as a part of a multidisciplinary team.

Community Health Worker must be comfortable in working in medical settings, advocating for medical needs and teaming with integrated health professionals. Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
Job Specific Requirements
High school diploma required
Experience as medical assistant desirable
Experience in healthcare field or mental health are desirable
Valid MI driver's license required
