Student Radiologic Technologist

The Student Radiologic Technologist is a professional who works under the supervision of the Imaging Department Medical Director to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family. The student Technologist must be currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, and on track to graduate within the next six months. The student Technologist will never work by themselves on a shift. The student Technologist will never cover an OR procedure without a supervising Technologist present. This position requires a customer service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of delivering care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision making is expected in the execution of all duties. May be assigned to be in charge of a modality and able to delegate patient care assignments and duties based on the ability of co-workers. Must strive to maintain the professional standards of Radiologic Technology which include utilizing clinical skills and critical thinking to assess, plan, provide, delegate, supervise, manage and evaluate patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or educations
- Enrollment in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Must have a min of 80% of clinical requirements completed and checked off
- Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology
- Interpersonal/human relations skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to maintain records and files
Licensure and certifications:
Proof of enrollment, and in good standing, in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification in CPR/Basic
