You are:

You are a seasoned Software Engineer with a deep passion for crafting innovative solutions and a keen eye for detail. With a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, you thrive in collaborative environments where your communication skills and technical expertise shine. You are adept at translating complex requirements into robust, user-friendly applications and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software that aligns with strategic objectives.

How you will make an impact:

You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our users' needs and technological execution. In this crucial position, you will lead project facilitation, acting as the primary liaison between end-users and software development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Understand client-side and server-side architecture
  • Develop and manage well-functioning applications
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Assess and remediate any issues found during vulnerability scanning activities
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with customer to enhance existing software
  • Be an active participant in the Agile development process

The team:

Lawelawe Defense Inc ("LDI") is an SBA Certified 8(a) Native Hawaiian Owned (NHO) SDB Lawelawe Defense offers an outstanding record of delivery on various projects encompassing: Program and Portfolio Management; Systems Engineering and Architecture; Network Engineering and Operations; Data Center Optimization and Operations; Desktop/Server and Application Virtualization.

Here's what you need:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a Master’s degree in a related field, or 15 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Expansive experience with Angular / Java EE / HTML5
  • Experience with Agile development process (SAFe, Scrum, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Web Forms, MVC, .NET Core, and .NET 4.x Framework
  • Experienced with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Must be a US Citizen

Bonus points if:

  • Proficient in modern UX Design principles (CSS, Bootstrap, Material, etc.)
  • Skilled in writing SQL for major databases (Oracle 11-12.x, SQL Server 201x)
  • Knowledgeable in using APIs (JSON, XML, .NET Core 2.x+ with Web API preferred)
  • Competent in Source Control (Git, Azure DevOps Server 2019, TFS)
  • Adept at vulnerability analysis and remediation using commercial tools (HP Fortify, SonarQube, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Classic ASP (VBScript)
  • Understanding of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) v4.x
