Geodesicx is seeking a dedicated mid to senior level Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on conducting ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) scans and preparing RMF (Risk Management Framework) deliverables. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are secure and compliant with all government and industry regulations.

Specific Duties

    • Conduct regular ACAS scans to identify vulnerabilities and assess the security posture of network systems.
    • Prepare and manage RMF deliverables, including documentation, security plans, and compliance reports.
    • Collaborate with IT and network teams to implement effective security measures.
    • Monitor security systems for signs of intrusion or breach and respond to security incidents.
    • Provide recommendations for improving system security based on analysis of ACAS scan results.
    • Assist with the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
    • Develop and update cybersecurity policies and procedures to enhance the security infrastructure.
    • Conduct security audits to ensure adherence to security policies and compliance with regulations.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and conduct internal compliance audits.
    • Provide training and guidance to other departments on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
    • Manage security tools and software, ensuring they are updated and maintained.
    • Participate in security planning and update meetings to discuss findings and propose actionable solutions.

Work Experience Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically with ACAS and RMF.
    • Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies.
    • Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and interpreting ACAS scan results.
    • Experience in preparing and managing RMF documentation and compliance reports.
    • Certified in relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex security systems and networks.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Must possess Security Clearance at a minimum.
  • Immediate availability to join the team.

Education Requirements: Formal, Informal, OJT

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
