As part of our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service, we are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Controller to partner with the CFO in managing day-to-day general accounting operations as well as performing insightful business and financial analysis.  

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and KPI reporting for company management and our holding company’s Board of Directors.
  • Support a timely and accurate month-end close cycle.
  • Assist in cash flow analysis and forecasting. 
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
  • Perform fixed assets reconciliations and formulate strong. inventory internal controls.
  • Assist in the monitoring of credit cards postings.
  • Prepare audit schedules and provide auditor support during financial audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline audit processes and improve compliance with audit requirements and regulations.
  • Perform financial planning and analysis for strategic projects of varying nature and complexity.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management, identifying variances from the budget, and forecast and providing insights on key performance drivers. 
  • Administer company-provided mobile devices and technology resources while ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • At least five (5) years of verifiable and related experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or contractor services company that has greater than $25M in annual revenue.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of accounting, principles, practices, and regulations including GAAP.  
  • Experience supporting annual outside CPA firm audits is a plus.
  • ERP and accounting systems proficiency, preferably experience with Sage Intacct and ServiceTitan.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • The desire and ability to improve processes, with a demonstrated successful use of technology to improve process efficiency.
  • Understands requirements for documentation in work papers, disclosures, and memos; demonstrated ability to document a broad range of technical issues.
  • Effective team building, communication, and leadership skills.
  • "Can do” attitude and willingness to engage in various subjects (e.g., accounting practices, strategic financial analysis, employee matters).
  • Commitment to the highest standards of quality and integrity. 
  • Exude a high degree of professionalism and treat others with respect.

Compensation: We offer competitive compensation commensurate with the requirements of the position, including:

  • Base salary of $130,000 to $150,000.
  • Bonus target of 10% based on company revenue, EBITDA, and role-specific objectives.
  • Generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401K-retirement plan.
  • Paid time off (PTO).
