Design Manager will play a pivotal role in our Global Industrialization Development Engineering Center of Excellence group. What You Will Do

Design Management: Manage and coordinate project design development and serve as the main point of contact for design management, provide technical expertise and guidance ensuring complete delivery within budget, schedule and quality requirements, while embracing continuous improvement and innovation implementation in all stages of design development from inception through detail design, construction and turnover

Construction Administration Support: Conduct project site visits as required for monitoring construction progress and support quality and adherence to design standards in successful turnover of the perfect product. Provide oversight and provide support to resolve construction-related issues bringing informed decisions/solutions which balance design intent, cost implications, and project goals

Demonstrate Leadership Skills: Exhibit strong leadership by providing guidance to team members as well as direction to external teams such as contractors and vendors, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture, and solving challenges with a forward-thinking mindset and embracing AESC standards

Stakeholder Relationship Management: Foster positive and collaborative environment between internal and external teams such as contractors and local government agencies as well as clients, understanding their needs, answering questions, addressing concerns and drive solutions, develop comprehensive project plans and design strategies

Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic quality control reviews to assess compliance and address any deficiencies or deviations. Perform QAQC of project interim deliverable packages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) and ensure adherence to local and national industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements, as well as AESC standards

What You Need

• B.S. in Engineering or Project Management, or equivalent experience

• 10+ year of experience in owner capital development projects in battery manufacturing, semi-conductor manufacturing, medical or scientific laboratories, with demonstrated experience in design management and construction administration for Type I and II Construction types (ground up, new construction), and/or Remodel/Tenant Improvement projects

• Extensive experience in design development for large scale ultra-clean manufacturing environments per ISO Classes requirements

• Working knowledge of ICB, ADA, NFPA, NEC, TecSa, CSI specification coordination (Dev 1-33)

• Ability to read and decipher technical reports, Code Analysis report, geotechnical, environmental, and all disciplines drawings

• Excellent time management, effective communication in both verbal and written, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Demonstrated experience with consultants, contractors, and vendors contract negotiations and management with ability to review and ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Proficiency in Bluebeam, MS Office products, Vizio, SharePoint, OneNote, Azure, Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
