We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machining Programmer to join our clients machining department team. The CNC Machining Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and updating CNC programs to manufacture parts with precision. This role involves close collaboration with various departments such as Engineering and Quality, as well as providing technical support to the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • CNC Programming: Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM technology.
  • Analysis: Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimensions and configurations for machining.
  • Tool Selection: Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Setup: Establish reference points and machine cutting paths.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed setup and tooling sheets.
  • Tool Management: Manage and control tooling lists for all machines.
  • Production: Ensure CNC programs are prepared to meet production schedules.
  • Instructions: Write detailed work instructions and cutter lists for machine setup and operation.
  • Error Correction: Revise programs to correct any errors or omissions.
  • Verification: Verify the accuracy of programs by observing initial machine operations.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support to the shop floor.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of CAD/CAM experience, with proficiency in MasterCam preferred.
  • Blueprint Reading: Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and machining methodologies.
  • Software Knowledge: Experience with Solidworks is a plus.
  • Process Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of lathe and mill processes, including multi-axis applications.
  • Controller Proficiency: Fluency in using industry-standard controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, and Heidenhain.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to resolve issues and meet requirements.
  • Education: Technical degree preferred.
