Job Title: Engineer I, Inspection
Reports to: Electrode Equipment Team - Inspection Part Leader
Location: Holland, MI

Summary: This position leads, projects newly installing the machine vision systems in electrode process and develops vision software in-house.
The structure, inspection algorithm and logic of vision software already were developed by Electrode Inspection Part, and the position needs to have ability understanding of the software, optimizing the algorithm and software logic.


Responsibilities:
- Perform to lead project of vision system installation

- Perform verification to get a result of gage R&R of vision system installed
(If the verification result is failed, has to find root causes why result is failed)

- Perform to find root cause vision issues about overkill and leakage and suggest solutions, resolve the issue.

- Perform to develop vision software based on software structure that already was developed algorithm, functionality, interface logic between PLC and vision
- Perform to improve image quality of vision system based on knowledge of hardware like optics, camera type, Etc.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related

Experience:
- Programming (C, C++, C#, Image Processing)

Skills:

- Ability to develop vision software

- Programming skills: C++, C#, Data Structure, (Image Processing skill is a plus)

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Have strong accountability, critical thinking and self-motivation

- English Korean bilingual skill is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours.
    1. - Safety glasses
    2. - Steel-toed shoes
    3. - Latex Gloves
    4. - Respirator
  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours.
    1. - Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
    2. - Stoop, twist, bend
    3. - Reach overhead
    4. - Sit and/or stand
