The purpose of this position is to quote and bind new and renewal Professional, Environmental, and Workers Compensation business through several top-rated insurance companies. This position will provide exceptional customer service and relationship building to agencies and insurance companies. This person will travel on sales calls to agencies and perform agency (phone) calls where they will market products and build relationships. This position will require an excellent understanding of the competition, exceptional product knowledge and the ability to propose specific program developments.

1. Quote/Bind new business 40%
2. Quote/Bind renewals 25%
3. Service Existing Business 10%
4. Goal Setting 10%
5. Agency/Company Travel 15%

Job Responsibilities:

• Quoting, entering & binding small accounts (New & Renewal)
• Obtain binding info for new/renewal accounts
• Use of many online systems/raters
• Decline/respond to new submissions and enter into Utopia
• Contributes to organization effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
• Make marketing calls/travel as necessary
• Remarket renewals (depending on training will depend on size renewals handled)
• Understanding numerous companies underwriting appetites
• Maintains inter- and intradepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation
• Travel to both agencies & company conventions/events
• Maintains professional underwriting and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Adhere to Minimum Company service standards, going above and always striving to be better than the norm
• Service existing business
• Facilitate book transfers
• Assist with creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for the department processes and training team members
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing various tasks as they are assigned
• Adhere to company-wide service standards (strive to go above)
• Pursue education to enhance industry knowledge, maintain minimum company education requirements
• AICPCU courses: Program in General Insurance (INS); Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
• PLUS courses (for RPLU designation)
• 95% of phone calls answered
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years experience in Insurance or related field

· OR insurance degree

· OR 2-year degree in General Business or related field, with designation (CPCU, RPLU, ARM, CIC, CIW, AIC, ASLI, AU, AINS, etc.….)
