React Native Senior Software Engineer with Strong Mobile Exp.


ABOUT THE POSITION

Unison Systems is seeking a forward-thinking, passionate Senior Software Engineer for their client who is in the interpretation/translation service space.The ideal candidate has strong technical and analytical capabilities, along with extensive experience in mobile app development with React Native. You will be an integral part of the Engineering Team, collaborating across the company to drive impact and growth, while helping to grow the Engineering team.


ABOUT SUCCESS IN THE POSITION

  • Some of the main initiatives you’ll be part of: Playing an active and strategic role in architecting and implementing core product mobile application features
  • Collaborating with Product Owners to refine User Stories with proper acceptance criteria
  • Working on an Agile / Kanban team alongside platform engineers and front end web engineers
  • Integrating mobile features through RESTful server APIs
  • Implementing best practices around testing and documentation
  • Mentoring junior mobile developers


ABOUT YOU

  • Good understanding of architectural design principles in mobile application development, and how they may differ from other platforms and technologies
  • Experience building non-trivial mobile user experiences with React Native
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful server APIs which support a variety of frontend clients
  • Extensive experience with test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and good intuitions on which approaches work best in multiple situations
  • Experience working with UI/UX Designers
