Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Cloud Data Engineer with experience in migrating Oracle to Snowflake using ETL engines and a strong background in workspace skills, including Fivetran, Data Vault 2.0, SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), Semantic Data Modeling, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have experience working within insurance verticals and will thrive in a consulting services environment. This role will involve collaborating closely with other Data Engineers in an Agile manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop the migration of Oracle databases to Snowflake utilizing ETL engines.
  • Design and implement workspace solutions tailored to the specific needs of insurance clients.
  • Utilize Fivetran to automate data integration processes and streamline data workflows.
  • Implement Data Vault 2.0 methodology for efficient data modeling and architecture.
  • Develop SSAS cubes and semantic models to support advanced analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to design and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Drive the adoption of Power BI as a primary tool for data visualization and reporting.
  • Provide data governance and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in cloud data architecture and insurance industry practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud data engineering, with a focus on insurance verticals.
  • Proven track record of successfully migrating Oracle databases to Snowflake using ETL engines.
  • Strong proficiency in workspace skills, including Fivetran, Data Vault 2.0, SSAS, Semantic Data Modeling, and Power BI.
  • Experience working in a consulting services environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI) are a plus.
