TriSMART Solar is currently looking to fill the role of Solar Service Technician – Expert in
Sunlight Backup, Enphase, SolarEdge and Generac Powercell
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Solar Service Technician who possesses in-depth
knowledge and hands-on experience in solar technology systems, particularly in Sunlight Backup,
Enphase, SolarEdge, Generac systems, as well as various solar-related tasks including shutdowns, gut
swaps, panel upgrades, and roof work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of our solar
installations.


Responsibilities:


Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on solar energy systems equipped with
Sunlight Backup, Enphase, SolarEdge, and Generac components.
Perform system troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues related to inverters, batteries, wiring,
monitoring systems, and other components.
Collaborate with the installation team to ensure proper setup, configuration and install of new systems, when needed.
Execute system shutdowns and restarts when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Manage and execute panel upgrades, replacements, and system expansions to meet changing customer
needs.
Perform "gut swaps" involving the replacement of system components while ensuring proper
functionality and adherence to industry standards.
Conduct roof work including inspections, maintenance, and repairs related to solar panel installations.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements using electronic reporting
systems.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to provide innovative solutions
and suggestions for continuous improvement.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times, promoting a safe working environment for
oneself and the team.


Requirements:

Licensed Wireman or Journeyman certification

Dual certification in Texas and New Mexico
Proven experience as a Solar Service Technician with expertise in Sunlight Backup, Enphase, SolarEdge, and Generac systems.

Proficiency in performing shutdowns, gut swaps, panel upgrades, and roof work within solar
installations.
Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and solar power components.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing solar installations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and reporting.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and job requirements.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.


Preferred:
Relevant certifications in solar technology or electrical systems.
Previous experience in customer service roles, providing technical support and solutions.
