Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor helps guide the Housekeeping team in maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and quality service, exceeding guest expectations and hotel standards in a friendly, professional manner. Additional responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling of Team Carillon Members, and inventory control. 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Trains and orients the housekeeping associates to meet Carillon Miami Wellness Resort standards and oversees on going coaching and training.
  2. Monitors the Housekeeping and Public Area team for consistent quality.
  3. Controls inventories and requisitions supplies, materials and equipment as needed.
  4. Observes and evaluates housekeeping team members’ performance.
  5. Supervises the suite attendants and house attendants’ daily activities including work area, functions, linen delivery, trash, recycling, and any other guest requests.
  6. Assist with the smooth running of the uniform valet operations.
  7. Performs daily cleanliness inspections including but limited to public areas and suites.
  8. Follow-up to ensure that all inspections have been assigned and completed to Carillon standards in a timely manner.
  9. Ensures high standard of cleanliness and order in the facility.
  1. Formulates and establishes staff member work schedules to ensure distribution of workloads; revises schedules as needed.
  2. Update payroll daily & process biweekly.
  3. Encourages work simplification, efficiency and pride in work among staff.
  4. Investigates accidents and initiates reports; recommends corrective action as required.
  5. Creates schedules, opens and closes the house, monitors punch edits, inspects work and administers performance appraisals.
  6. Assists departmental managers in satisfying guest requests and complaints.
  7. Performs other job-related duties as directed.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  1. High School diploma preferred. 
  2. Leadership qualities, interactive, and approachable.
  3. A minimum of (3) years of supervisor experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
  4. Able to speak and understand basic English.
  5. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues.
  6. Extensive knowledge of the hotel and its services.
  7. Must possess an ability to manage, train, and counsel.
  8. Must be flexible with schedule to meet department needs.
  9. Must be enthusiastic, professional, organized, and a positive member of the team.
  10. Must be alert, safety conscious, and have an ability to pay exceptional attention to detail.
