About the role:
Gen3 seeks a talented Database Administrator to play a key role in supporting our client, the IRS, by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and scalable database solutions. You will collaborate with software developers and system architects to ensure data integrity, security, and performance while meeting the agency's critical needs.

Location: Remote, US

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 6 years of related experience.
  • Able to IRS Public Trust. Green card or US Citizenship required.
  • Previous experience supporting IRS, USDT, or other federal agencies using USAccess with an active clearance.
What you'll do:
  • Design and Manage Databases: Collaborate with developers and architects to design efficient databases, meeting project requirements and ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Optimize and Maintain: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and implement preventive measures to handle future growth.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Investigate and resolve database issues, debug performance problems, analyze query plans, and fine-tune parameters for optimal performance.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Document database configurations and best practices, work with development teams to understand application needs and collaborate with stakeholders for data migration and replication.

Employment eligibility: Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Most of our positions require a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder for consideration. Certain positions require at least three (3) of the past five (5) years of residence in the United States.

Other requirements:

  • A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory.
  • Candidates must possess either an active green card or citizenship.

  • Those selected for this role may undergo a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility criteria for accessing classified information or be eligible for security clearances.
