Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Pediatric OT, you will work with children and adolescents to enhance their development, independence, and quality of life through therapeutic interventions. You will collaborate closely with families and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to assess developmental, sensory, motor, and cognitive abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and collaborate with families and caregivers to set realistic goals.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve fine motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and social interaction skills.
  • Provide education and training to parents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies for home and community environments.
  • Utilize play-based interventions and creative activities to engage children and promote participation in therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve developmental milestones and therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pediatricians, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators to ensure holistic care for pediatric patients.
  • Advocate for the needs of pediatric patients and families within the healthcare system and community settings.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical setting; experience in early intervention programs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric conditions affecting occupational performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and healthcare professionals.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to pediatric therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
