Kikka sushi is looking for hardworking, dependable, prep cook / line cook that will provide great customer service to our customers in the Whole Foods Market located at 740 N. Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.

Full time only, 5 days a week (must work all Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays) working between the hours of 6am – 6pm, for 9 hour shifts (includes an hour unpaid meal break).

The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and per customer's request. No experience, no problem we will teach you The prep cook / line cook team member will also do prep work, prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment.

To thrive you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, have a flexible morning and evening availability, be willing to work hard (this isn’t an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English.

Pay: $16.00. Per SB1182: up to $17.00 per hour, depending on years of sushi making working experience. No sushi making work experience, $16.00, not negotiable.

Qualifications:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Show great customer service skills
  • Work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments
  • Food handling experience and food handler certification
