Position Summary

The IT Director will serve as the leader for all things technology including working with and overseeing staff as they build and update computer systems to align with organizational needs. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with all departments to understand and interpret their IT requirements, needs, and preferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop and execute an IT roadmap. This includes leading implementations to execute plans that support continued growth and success.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support current workflows and future implementations.
  • Ability to manage a third-party IT service provider contract.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance IT services and streamline efficiencies across the organization.
  • Proactively monitor computer systems and networks.
  • Assist in the management and cultivation of relationships with vendors to create cost-efficient and productive contracts.
  • Provide direction, support, and mentorship to direct report(s).
  • Maintain company hardware and software programs. Perform tests and evaluations on new hardware and software as appropriate.
  • Facilitate the IT ambassadors affinity group to expand support within departments and maximize training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field.
  • Proficiency in overseeing infrastructure, data management, network security, backup systems, and compliance.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of working well with others.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
