Rhodes was founded in the early 1990’s as a land acquisition and holding company. For more than a decade, we have grown to serve the communities of Mission, Donna, McAllen, Edinburg and Brownsville. Intern Program Details:

  • We are seeking a co-hort of 14 interns for our Summer Internship Program running June 3 - July 26
  • Application Deadline: April 12, 2024

Role Mission: As a Rhodes Intern, you’ll be challenged with responsibilities relevant to your department based assignment. You’ll gain rich, skill-building experience- we’ll get our own coffee. During the 8-week internship, you’ll help us find solutions to real-life problems that drive business forward, network with Rhodes staff, senior leaders and gain an understanding of the operations that makes Rhodes run You will work from one of our Rhodes locations in the Rio Grande Valley.


What You’ll Do:

  • Attend our kick-off event and network with Rhodes staff and other Rhodes interns
  • Make an impact on building communities through your service to Rhodes
  • Participate in a tour of our active Rhodes and Esperanza Homes communities and projects
  • Support your assigned department with specific projects and tasks related to current needs
  • Receive company overview and understanding of opportunities that exist beyond your internship experience
  • Participate in goal setting and evaluations to assess your performance and discuss further career paths

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record (3.0 GPA preferred)
  • Working knowledge in the assigned area of business
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Skills in MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) and database administration
  • Exhibit professionalism and enjoy team collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks, and you pay attention to details
  • Ability to commit to full-time work availability during the duration of the internship
