About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Park Hill Veterinary Medical Center in Denver, CO. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients and support to our veterinarians. PHVMC strives to cultivate a positive work environment where you can work with an exceptional team, have fun, and continue to learn every day.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations.
  • Handle and restrain animals during treatments in a Fear Free environment.
  • Working with up to date equipment including electronic medical records, digital x-ray, in-house lab including PT/aPP, Phovia light therapy unit, cold laser and more
  • Administer medications and treatments to patients as directed by the veterinarian
  • Working with and building rapport with our human clients animal patients by providing client education and managing patient care with the veterinarian.
  • Managing laboratory diagnostic samples from acquisition to running our in-house lab machines or submitting to our Idexx reference lab.
Requirements:
  • Coachable, strong work ethic and passion for pets and their people
  • Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with good time management and attention to detail.
