Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTECHNICAL EXPERTISE:Front End Development:
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with CSS frameworks like LESS and SASS, and responsive design using tools such as Bourbon and Twitter Bootstrap.
  • Skilled in using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries like jQuery, Backbone.js, Ember.js, and D3.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and version control systems (Git, GitHub).
Project Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years in front end web development.
  • At least 2 years developing and maintaining WordPress websites within the last 4 years.
  • Experience with Google Analytics for tracking website performance.
  • Familiarity with photo and video editing using Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
DESIGN AND CONTENT CREATION:Web Content and Design:
  • Proficient in best practices for web content and design, including SEO, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and UX.
  • Capable of creating and updating web layouts, microsites, and landing pages.
  • Experience in creating mockups and presenting HTML and CSS prototypes to clients.
Accessibility:
  • Expertise in ensuring Section 508 and ADA compliance, with a current focus on adhering to new federal rules coming into effect.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
  • Strong writing and content creation abilities for web and print media.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter with a keen eye for identifying and resolving issues independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively.
ROLE CHALLENGES:Stakeholder Management:
  • Work with various stakeholders, including departmental health partners and clients, to gather requirements and deliver tailored web solutions.
  • Engage in testing and remediating issues to ensure high accessibility standards.
Collaboration:
  • Operate within a small communications team, often required to produce graphic materials for social media and other platforms.
