Links Global seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Communication Specialist with extensive experience in marketing communication and change communication. The Senior Communication will lead and oversee all aspects of a marketing communication project for a US federal agency. 

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of managing complex projects to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, and experience managing projects for federal agencies. The position offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting internal and external communications with an agency with over 15,000 employees and millions of customers.

The position will report to federal agency offices in Washington DC.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of communication and marketing experience and 5 years planning and managing communication campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Experience supporting senior executives and CEOs

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with project objectives.
  • Oversee the development of marketing communication materials including media releases, speeches, and social media posting, ensuring they meet quality standards and are culturally and linguistically appropriate for diverse audiences.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on project status and performance.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, content creators, and designers to develop impactful marketing materials.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
  • Event and activity management
  • Lead and manage other communication staff as needed.

Hourly wage based on $100k per year plus fringe benefits.
