The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
Pay Rate: $60/hr
Variable Schedule (see below for example of rotation):
  • First pay period:
Sunday: 6am; Monday: 7am; Thursday: 6am; Friday: 6am; Saturday: 3pm; Sunday: 3pm; Thursday: 8am; Saturday: 9:30p (other week days facility can be flexible; traveler can choose additional working days to equate to 40 hours per week)
  • Second pay period:
Sunday: 9:30p; Wednesday: 7am; Thursday: 8am; Friday: 9:30pm; Monday: 9:30pm; Thursday: 8am; Friday: 7am; Saturday: 3pm (other week days facility can be flexible; traveler can choose additional working days to equate to 40 hours per week)
  • Third pay period:

Description:
  • Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
  • Perform CT scans according to established protocols to produce detailed images of patient anatomy for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during scans, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and adhering to all safety regulations concerning radiation exposure.
  • Adjust scanning equipment and modify scanning parameters as needed to optimize image quality.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare team members to interpret scan results and discuss diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all procedures performed and any issues encountered during scanning.
  • Assist in the X-ray department as needed, performing standard diagnostic radiographic procedures compliant with departmental protocols.
  • Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or discrepancies to the appropriate maintenance team.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, especially those regarding patient privacy (HIPAA) and infection control.
