Job Description

Your Career

The Cloud Management Platform is a public cloud delivered management platform to manage all Palo Alto Networks Next generation network security solutions. It’s an easy-to-use, scalable and secure platform to operationalize complex deployments using the Palo Alto Networks network security portfolio.

You will work in a team of highly motivated engineers building a highly scalable and secure multi-tenant public cloud solution to manage devices in physical, virtual or container form factors. We are looking for passionate engineers that can code and build great products as well as leaders that can own and deliver. Collaboration and teamwork are at the foundation of our culture and we need engineers who can communicate at a high level and work well with others towards achieving a common goal. 

Your Impact

As a SDET, the candidate will be responsible for writing test plans, executing tests, developing automation frameworks and maintaining them, finding software defects, automating tests for features. Detailed responsibilities as below:

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured software test plans that cover all possible test cases to verify feature functionality for customer use cases
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks
  • Develop tools and infrastructure to improve quality and efficiency of testing
  • Contribute towards improving existing software test automation frameworks to support missing functionalities needed for new software features
  • Design and execute automation scripts for all test cases
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities - Isolate issues found during testing and verify bug fixes once they are resolved - Reproduce and debug issues found during and after software release
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate software testing activities to ensure that feature deliverables meet release deadlines
  • Participate in a high paced work environment, with short release cycles.
  • Take ownership and collaborate with cross-functional product management, development and SDET teams in a fast paced environment
Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Experience in writing test plans and test cases, strong knowledge of SDET methodologies, tools and procedures
  • Strong programming and/or scripting skills
  • Experience in developing test automation of RestAPIs using Python/Pytest is required
  • Ability to develop/design tools, libraries, infrastructure, automation framework to improve the quality and efficiency of testing
  • UI automation/testing experience using Selenium/Javascript
  • Experience in building and maintaining Gitlab CI/CD pipelines 
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies such Aws/Azure/GCP 
  • Experience with Linux and BASH desired
  • Experience testing Cloud Management platforms is highly desirable
  • Experience with TCP/IP Networking and Network Security is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Active Directories, Cloud Identity Providers is highly desirable
  • Experience with Esxi Virtualization and Container technologie like Kubernetes, Docker is a plus
  • Knowledge of MongoDB or other database technologies is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environments learning new technologies is a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • BS or MS in computer engineering or related technical field and a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Software Developer/SDET/Software Test Engineer or equivalent military experience required

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $127,000/yr to $206,100/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
