Summary of Position
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the organization's information technology and infrastructure and lead a team of IT professionals while overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the organization's technology systems. The IT Manager possesses strong technical skills and management experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage overall IT strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives, including implementation and maintenance.
- Manage ESI department staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and desktops.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data, network access and back up systems.
- Manage the organization's relationship with technology vendors and service providers.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions timely.
- Develop and manage the IT department's budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Provide reporting on IT operations and performance metrics to executive and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to IT, such as data privacy laws.
- Design, develop, implement, coordinate, and maintain systems, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to, disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Additional relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience, with at a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong technical skills, with experience in Windows and VMWare environments.
- Experience in managing complex IT projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to IT, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or MCSE.
- Experience in cloud computing and migration.
- Experience in managing enterprise-level applications, such as ERP or CRM systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on call 24/7.
- Ability to commute to the corporate office.
- Multi-limb and eye-hand coordination
- Able to stand, bend, reach, stoop and lift boxes up to 30 lbs.
- Able to sit at desk, working on computer for a full work day
- Able to work in a fast pace environment / multi-tasking with organization and efficiency
