As the primary technical resource for our sales team, you will play a pivotal role in driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. You will be the key technical advisor and product advocate, responsible for selecting pumps to fit practical applications and providing reliable solutions for technical issues, ensuring complete customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the primary technical advisor to the sales team and customers, including end-users, engineering consultants, and contractors.
- Select pumps and review technical specifications to fit customer needs and project requirements.
- Estimate projects, prepare quotations, and enter sales and project orders.
- Purchase equipment and materials while managing information throughout the sales process.
- Provide engineering support to ensure product functionality, quality, cost-effectiveness, and schedule adherence.
- Work closely with outside sales, internal teams, and customers to maintain strong relationships and ensure a seamless sales cycle.
- Occasionally function as a project manager, acting as an intermediary between sales and project management to support project delivery.

Measures of Success:

- Timely and accurate preparation of quotes.
- Responsiveness to customer requests for technical information.
- On-budget performance and timely delivery of projects.
- Minimization of non-conforming occurrences and maximization of customer satisfaction.
- Internal customer service satisfaction across sales, accounting, and operations departments.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in application engineering or a similar technical role.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams, customers, and internal departments.
