We are hiring a Senior / Principal Engineer for a health-tech company modernizing the hospital communication systems. You will act as SME for all engineering initiatives, and report to the CTO.

You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our healthcare communication systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and user-friendly. Your work will directly impact patient satisfaction, staff efficiency, and overall safety in healthcare environments.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Develop, upgrade, and maintain Software Solutions:

- Design, implement, and maintain software solutions for nurse call systems, digital signage, RTLS (Real-Time Location Systems), and patient engagement platforms.

- Ensure seamless integration with data portals, EMR systems, and other healthcare technologies.

- Migrate legacy systems to modern tech stack (Node, Angular, AWS)


2. Enhance Communication Tools:

- Develop digital workflow tools that improve communication and efficiency in healthcare settings.

- Implement visual messaging and synchronized timekeeping solutions.


3. Safety and Security Features:

- Develop and integrate RTLS systems with enhanced safety protocols and nurse call automation.

- Implement mobile panic button features to alert responders to staff duress incidents discreetly.

- Extend alert reach to nurse call systems, security systems, and mobile devices via middleware.


4. Patient and Staff Engagement:

- Develop patient entertainment and experience platforms, including integration with streaming services and health education modules.

- Implement digital whiteboards for real-time patient information and care updates.


5. Data Analytics and Reporting:

- Create analytics and reporting tools to assess response efficiency, staffing levels, and security considerations.

- Implement automated environmental monitoring for accurate data logging and reporting.


6. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

- Work closely with product managers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to understand and meet user needs.

- Provide technical support and training to ensure successful implementation and adoption of our systems.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Proficiency in Node.js, Angular, and Delphi

- Experience with integration technologies and middleware.

- Knowledge of RTLS, EMR systems, and healthcare communication protocols.

- Proven experience in software development, preferably in the healthcare industry.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:


- Masters degree in a related field.

- Experience with IoT, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and infrared technologies.

- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards and compliance.
