What you’ll be doing to make an impact at GSRs:

  • Cleans & prepares shellfish for serving to customers.
  • Ensure oyster bar is properly prepared based on established procedures.
  • Provide assistance to kitchen manager and kitchen staff with food preparation.
  • Follow established recipes and plating requirements as set by GSR.
  • Provide fast, accurate shucking of oysters.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and safely used.
  • Follow all relevant health department rules and regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred with the ability to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to:
    1. Standing and walking during an entire shift, averaging to 8 hours per shift.
    2. Reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, shaking, stirring, pouring, and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • A team player’s mentality with good communication skills and the ability to stay positive under pressure.
  • 18+ years old.
