Eureka Multifamily Group is currently seeking Maintenance Assistants for one of our properties. The ideal candidate will perform all necessary maintenance in vacant and non-vacant apartments to ensure market-ready units are ready for move-in. The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They also assist the Lead Maintenance and Maintenance team with anything necessary to ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, the installations HVAC and, the upkeep of the landscape.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Make and/or assists with general appliance repairs, carpet repairs and minor A/C and electrical repairs
  • Performs and/or assist with carpentry work, painting and plumbing duties
  • Installs appliances and electrical fixtures as required.
  • Move appliances, with assistance, using an appliance dolly
  • Installs repairs and re-keys deadbolt locks.
  • Assist lead maintenance in maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
  • Participates in an ongoing property improvement plan and preventative maintenance program.
  • Experience operating computer system to maintain and track service tickets, inventory and maintenance reports.
  • Assist with resident functions as required
  • Must be prompt, on time to work and have good, regular attendance?
  • Adheres to and complies with company safety policies and rules. Adheres to OSHA safety standards that are applicable for safe job performance.
  • Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, and vendors.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 or more pounds.
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.


Education & Experience Required:


  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
