SUMMARY:
Research and Development Intern supports the Research and Development Department with product development, optimization, technical services projects and assists in administrative duties. This may include performing data entry, scanning documents, preparing for test runs, and any other tasks that contribute to the function of the research and development department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As part of the internship, develop a product from concept to commercialization by making prototypes in the lab, developing product specs, and works with the cross functional team to generate a commercialization feasibility report to present it to the leadership team.
- Support ongoing projects by making prototypes, conducting analytical testing, and documenting the project notes.
- Compile and organize analytical and batching data for the existing products to measure the product’s performance against the standards. Generate reports with a summary.
- Assist in maintaining a fresh library of all the ingredients.
- Organize the electronic and physical files.
- Performs other duties as directed by management.

- HS Diploma, working towards degree in field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Good customer service skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
- Occasional pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying 25 pounds or less.
