Lifestyle Apartments at Shreveport is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Friday 8a-5p; rotational on-call weekend shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Hourly; commensurate with experience 

About you:
  • 3 years experience in apartment complex maintenance preferred
  • General knowledge of plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair
  • EPA Certified is a bonus
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Organized: technicians will support the ordering, tracking, and management of inventory 
  • Positive attitude with strong verbal communication skills: will work with a variety of staff, residents, and vendors
  • Available for duty on a rotational basis for after-hours emergency
Core Responsibilities:
Included but not limited to:
  • Responds to all assigned maintenance work orders during the regular day, giving priority to any emergency
  • Resolves all maintenance problems that arise during the work day
  • Reports any repair problems that cannot be fixed during the work day to the Property Manager
  • Completes regularly scheduled maintenance activities as assigned by the Property Manager.
  • Performs general clean-up of the apartment community on an "overload"
  • Reports all acts of vandalism, destruction of property, and suspicious persons observed within the community to the Property Manager or other designated leader
  • Assists Property Manager in maintaining all electrical, plumbing, appliances, and mechanical
  • Keeps shop and storage areas in neat and well-organized
  • Completes apartment turns as needed 
  • Completes grounds work as directed by Property Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds
  • Assists in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
  • Maintains a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors and fellow
  • Assures safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal
  • Ensures compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent
