JOB DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:

Responsible for marketing, promoting, and profitably selling products and services to existing and potential customers. 


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

Salesman duties may include, but are not limited to

Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers

Makes personal sales calls at customer sites on a regulator basis

Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales.

Attends networking events to represent the company while prospecting

Delivers sales presentations to key clients

Represents company at events to promote products

Develops and implements strategic sales plans to achieve company goals

Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates

Prepare/Provide quoting, invoicing, purchasing agreements, etc. to customers

Follow up on all generated quotations to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solutions.

Make Sales Coordinator aware of the provisions regarding client proposal and approve once the proposal has been completed

Manage relationships with clients and upsell additional inventory for current clients

Builds and maintains relationships with key clients

Receive and handle website and phone leads

Answer incoming sales phone calls

Track sales prospects’ data and status in CRM (Salesforce)

Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for sales growth.

Assist in developing sales materials, quote templates to improve sales team efficiency

Attend product training classes to develop superior product knowledge to handle customer requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.

Manage work assignments to the Sales Coordinator by providing direction for Salesforce management, data entry, lead follow-up, tracking opportunities, etc. 


Desired Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

Two to five years related experience and/or training, preferably with a technical background

Applicable experience in person-to-person sales that was commission based

Driver’s License and passport required


Additional Requirements:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.


Work Environment:

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation

Work near moving mechanical part

Air contamination (i.e., dust, fume, smoke, toxic conditions, disagreeable odors)

Risk of electrical shock

Loud (examples: metal manufacturing, large earth-moving equipment, large engines)

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 with occasionally after hours dependent upon international customers

Some travel (may be up to 40%) by land and/or air, international and domestic.
