Responsibilities
  • You will accurately process and manage the organization's weekly payroll, ensuring timely payments to all employees (600-650 individuals) in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • We expect you to maintain and update employee payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • You shall address and resolve any payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff members promptly and professionally.
  • You will prepare reports related to payroll activities, including summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • We expect you to collaborate closely with the HR department to ensure seamless integration and accuracy of payroll and benefits data.
  • We expect you to collaborate with management staff to assist in staff training in timecard entry, timecard adjustments and time off requests.
  • You shall stay current on changes in payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements to advise and implement necessary updates or modifications.
  • You will conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll accounts to verify accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • We expect you to assist in the preparation and submission of statutory filings and other periodic reporting as required by law.

Requirements

  • You must have proficiency in processing payroll for a diverse workforce using various payroll software systems. Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience required.
  • We require you to ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately, including regular hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • You should possess the ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
  • We expect you to handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • You need strong skills in reconciling payroll accounts and preparing necessary reports for management review.
  • We look for expertise in managing payroll records and documentation to support auditing processes and internal controls.
  • You are required to collaborate effectively with the HR team to integrate payroll data seamlessly.
  • We value your capability to identify and implement improvements in payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
