Compensation Base Range: $60.00 - $80.00 / hour depending on project scope

Applicants may be located anywhere within the US if they can provide availability Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am - 4pm pacific standard time to attend meetings and virtual fit sessions.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dedicated Freelance Apparel Pattern Maker to join our team remotely, focusing on creating first through production graded digital patterns and graded spec sheets for REP's growing range of Men's and Women's performance apparel. This includes knit and woven styles across various product categories such as shorts, pants, leggings, compression gear, tops, sports bras, jackets, and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create first through production graded digital patterns for REP's full range of Men's and Women's performance apparel offering including knit and woven styles across all product categories including shorts, pants, leggings, compression, tops, sports, bras, jackets, etc.
- Create and maintain graded spec sheets, grading rules, pattern cards, and point of measurement guides for all REP apparel styles.
- Virtually attend and actively collaborate with REP apparel team during all garment prototype fit sessions.
- Evaluate and measure all incoming proto samples in a timely manner.
- Help evaluate PP and TOP samples as needed.
- Consult with apparel designers on garment construction / tec pack creation as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

- Digital patternmaking, garment construction with sewing knowledge, grading and grading rules is required. Must be able to provide DFX and RUL digital pattern files.
- Should possess strong knowledge of garment life cycle and have experience working with a full package business.
- Experience with multiple fabrications, with an emphasis on athletic / performance apparel a big plus.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and collaborate with REP apparel team members to problem solve any tech and fit issues that may occur during the product life cycle.
- Ability to multitask, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet quick deliveries.
- Excellent communication and attention to details with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Advanced knowledge of digital pattern software (Gerber, Style Cad, etc.) required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator) a plus.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- AA or BA degree Fashion Design preferable
- Min. 5+ years' experience digital pattern making / pattern grading.
