Your Impact
The Certified Dietary Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of residents by overseeing their nutritional care and managing the health center staff. This position is vital for delivering high-quality nutrition education and promoting nutrition services within an upscale senior living community.
Key responsibilities include daily communication with the Food Service Director and other onsite staff to ensure seamless operations. The Certified Dietary Manager will also engage directly with residents, nurses, and caregivers, fostering a collaborative environment. Additionally, this role involves supervising kitchen production for health center meals and overseeing Dietary Aides within the Health Center, ensuring that nutritional standards and resident satisfaction are consistently met.

- Oversees the daily operations of a health center, ensuring that all staff members are providing quality patient care.
- Leads the culinary team in the Health Center.
- Conducts timely screening of patients, weight screening, and calorie counts and accurately communicates to the attending Registered Dietitian.
- Acts as a liaison on behalf of the patient’s nutritional care with the Dietitian.
- Keeps accurate medical records for all patients and maintains confidentiality of all information.
- Reviews menu as patient requirements indicate.
- Answers phone calls and responds to inquiries from residents/patients, families, and other health care providers.
- Fosters good relationships with medical practitioners and generally promotes Nutrition Services within the senior living community.
- Attends meetings and trainings as required by the community.
- Performs chart audits on a regular basis to ensure that documentation is complete and accurate.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to improve the overall quality of care at the health center.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends in health care delivery and makes recommendations for changes as needed
What you will need
- Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in nutrition of foods and nutrition from an accredited school, preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager Certification or Registered Dietitian certification is required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
- Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
