ABOUT A PATH OF CARE HOSPICE
A Path of Care Hospice is a partnership of home health, hospice, and private home services agencies. At A Path of Care Hospice, we aim to relieve pain, improve comfort, and help our patients take charge of their lives. Our skilled care and support make it possible for our patients to live safely and independently in their own homes. We work directly with their doctors to develop individualized care plans to ensure our patients receive the best care possible to heal. In every interaction with our customers, we demonstrate our core values of credibility, accountability, responsiveness, and empathy. We strive to gain the trust of our patients by working hard, assuming responsibility for our actions, and bringing sunshine to their lives.
Our high quality of care would not be possible without the exceptional team we have working for us. They work hard to uphold our values and ensure that each patient is taken care of according to their individual needs. To show our appreciation, we work hard to create a supportive and fulfilling environment that helps our employees grow professionally and create long-lasting careers they can take pride in.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOSPICE PATIENT CARE VOLUNTEER
As a Hospice Patient Care Volunteer, you enable our patients to live independently by offering support, encouragement, and help to both them and their families. You receive in-home care assignments that match your interests to the patient's and their family's needs as closely as possible. Always eager to help, you provide a variety of caregiving and support services, including running errands like grocery shopping or driving them to appointments and doing occasional light housekeeping and laundry. You form genuine connections with patients as you offer them companionship by sitting with them at their bedsides, helping them write letters, and carrying out their care plans.
You also make sure that their homes are safe environments, reducing the likelihood of accidents and promoting a timely response to illness. You are meticulous about reporting any changes or concerns promptly. In this way, you provide real peace of mind for them and their families. Studies have shown that those who live at home and retain their independence are happier, healthier, and tend to live longer, and you feel great about facilitating this for our patients through the part you play in our excellent in-home care services
