Job Summary 

 Reset Behavior LV specializes in providing applied behavior analysis principles to children and adolescents with autism, emotional behavior disorders, and mental health diagnosis. Our

mission is to provide effective and supportive behavioral services with the highest level of expertise, empathy, and compassion. Reset Behavior LV provides comprehensive and individualized services using the evidenced-based and data-driven science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will use the principles of ABA to systematically assess, develop, implement interventions, analyze, collaborate, and consult with an overall goal to increase socially significant behaviors for our clients and families. Applied behavior analysis may be delivered directly and solely from the BCBA or a BCBA may supervise a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) while they directly implement the therapy services. 

 

  • It is the responsibility of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst BCBA to conduct various descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments (e.g., functional analyses) and skill-based assessments (i.e., ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, Vineland 3, SRS2, etc.).  The BCBA provides analytic interpretations of the results and designs comprehensive ABA treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and behavior-analytic research literature. 
  • The BCBA provides training and supervision to Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCABAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other responsible parties tasked with the implementation of behavior analytic interventions. 
  • The BCBA supervises and monitors the treatment progress of clients through data-based progress monitoring.  The BCBA also provides training to parents, guardians, and other responsible parties for the client. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group sessions. 
  • Oversee ABA home programs and provide parent training and support. Oversee ABA community and clinical programs. 
  • Conduct behavioral and skills assessments and design treatment programs for clients.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and design and behavior intervention plans to include implementation and supervision to ensure the behavior plan is followed.
  • Support the families with the implementation of the home behavior plan. 
  • Coordinate and lead monthly clinic and progress meetings with parents and guardians. Ensure signatures for treatment plans and services are collected after sessions and when changes are made.  
  • Complete session notes in a timely matter and approve session notes completed by the Registered Behavior Technician. 
  • Participate in social skills groups. 
  • Collect data and graph data as instructed using technological programs, such as Rethink Behavioral Health.  
  • Complete training requirements for Rethink Behavioral Health and professional development.  
  • Complete weekly program writing and maintain Client programs in Rethink Behavioral Health.  
  • Coordinate Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCABAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to implement individualized treatment plans as per agency standards and BACB requirements. 
  • Providing RBT training course monthly for both current and new employees which may include weekend training one time per month. 
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients. 
  • Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations arise. 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. 
  • Maintain licenses and requirements as required through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board of Nevada and the state of Nevada. 
  • Obtain a yearly safety care training certificate. 
  • Obtain basic life support training every two years. 
  • Complete reports and required assessments for authorizations and insurance requirements.  
  • Work with a diverse team of professionals to provide the best behavioral services possible to clients. 
  • Attend staff trainings and agency meetings.  
  • Meet Company standards for telehealth.  
  • Meet weekly or monthly billable hours. 


Additional Duties and Responsibilities 

 In addition to the general duties of a BCBA, there are a number of specific duties, responsibilities, functions, and activities which may be assigned to particular BCBAs based on their role, contribution, experience, and skillset. The following is a summary of specific duties of which one or many may or may not be assigned to a BCBA.

Salary Positions 

 Our salary BCBA employees should not be viewing their position as an hourly "billable vs non-billable" position. This position focuses on the job requirements and expectations for both direct and indirect job duties that are written throughout this job description and employee contract. Equal energy and performance should be met in both the direct and indirect job duties within your salaried position. 

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Master’s Degree or national equivalent with a major in psychology, special education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or related field of study.   
  • Certified as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as verified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board of Nevada. 
    • BCBA must be renewed every two years with least twenty-four Continuing Education Credits (CEU's).  
  • Licensure of Behavior Analysis (LBA) from the State of Nevada. 
    • Nevada LBA must be renewed annually. 
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with special needs. 


Preferred Education and Experience  

  • Master’s Degree or national equivalent with a major in psychology, special education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or related field of study.   
  • Additional certification as a special education teacher, school social worker, or school psychologist in the state of Nevada. 
  • Knowledge of medical billing for ABA and navigating insurance.
