Position Responsibilities:

• Explaining MRI processes and procedures to patients and ensuring that the patient feels at ease and is comfortable
• Performing the MRI procedure and working with computer systems to generate images of patients
• Maintaining and upkeeping the MRI and reporting any functioning issues immediately to the supervisor
• Read and determine the validity of reports before passing them along to ordering Physicians
• Making CDs and copies of images for outside Physicians
• Assisting x-ray techs and APPs with Arthrogram injections
• Safely and cautiously performing IV injections on certain patients to improve MRI images
• Communicating with outside Radiologists if reports need to be redone regarding the direction of scanning, pathologies, or final reports
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in radiography with ARRT (R) or equivalent certification, including ARMRIT
• MR certification (through ARRT) is preferred
• One year of MRI experience is preferred
• Ability to flex to any ORA Imaging Center location required (Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, Silvis)
