Reports to: Direct Care Coach Supervisor

Hours: Minimum 8 hours a month requirement. Multiple Shifts available: Weekdays Overnight; Weekends; Some holidays required

Location: Duluth, GA

Position Summary: The PRN Direct Care Coach is responsible for the care and supervision of the Women’s Residential Program participants. This role provides a supportive environment in collaboration with the therapeutic, educational, and life skills staff to meet organizational goals and individual participant goals.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Program Service Delivery

∙ Follow the daily program schedule as set by program leaders and participate in activities ∙ Actively model the strength-based approach with participant and staff interactions ∙ Collaborate with program leaders and team members to support participant adherence to participant support plans and development plans

∙ Safely transport participants to appointments and activities in organization vehicles and assist with vehicle maintenance and safety

∙ Complete and document thirty minute to hourly house checks for participants as well as room checks for participants identified as a potential danger to themselves

∙ Lead participant enrichment activities

∙ Ensure facility and security excellence by participating in safety drills and planning ∙ Support proper medication oversight, including administering random drug screens and following medication protocol to document medication use of participants

∙ Attend all quarterly PRN Meetings and maintain CFE training compliance including direct care training; utilize all trained skills including the strength-based approach with participants and staff

∙ Ensure effective documentation, including balanced living tracking sheets for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

∙ Provide safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the home; teach participants daily living skills including personal hygiene, laundry, and cleaning

∙ Perform administrative functions, such as completing accurate and detailed documentation daily shift logs, room check sheets, balanced living sheets, and medication logs ∙ Maintain flexibility when possible to address coverage or other emergencies ∙ Follow all program policies, procedures, and guidelines

∙ Provide care to program participants without regard to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs

∙ Provide care that is culturally competent for participants who have a history of trauma

Healthy Living

∙ Develop intentional connections with the program participants and staff members ∙ Lead by example in modeling the characteristics of a Mission Driven Professional

∙ Provide direction and encouragement to participants and staff

Professional Qualifications:

∙ Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products

∙ Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around vulnerable populations

∙ High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher in a behavioral or social science field preferred

∙ Minimum 1 year of related experience in residential direct care support for relevant populations

Position Requirements:

∙ Moderate local travel related to participant and program needs, including ongoing clearance for driving organization vehicles and transporting participants, as well as occasional travel for training

∙ Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer ∙ Satisfactory criminal history background check, as well as a satisfactory fingerprint records check determination as required by law

∙ Clean Motor Vehicle Record

∙ Current evidence of successful completion of a biennial training program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a triennial training program in first aid which have been offered by a certified or licensed healthcare professional; such programs shall be completed within the first year of employment

∙ Participation in all required trainings and competency in areas of training content
