Trattoria Delia is looking for a Saut Cook

Trattoria Delia is looking for an experienced Saut Cook to join the team at our busy downtown Burlington restaurant. As a Saut Cook at Trattoria Delia, you play a key role in our restaurant because youre in charge of preparing the impeccable pasta dishes were known for. You'll stand side by side with colleagues in the Trattoria Delia kitchen, working together to turn local and imported ingredients into the delicious artisanal Italian cuisine that keeps people coming back again and again

Responsibilities:

Ensure that pasta dishes are expertly prepared in a timely fashion according to our specs
Keep clean and sanitized food preparation areas, equipment, and serving surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
Having previous experience as a cook, you can manage multiple priorities at once
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, labeling and dating stored foods, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock
Respond to guest and staff feedback and requests with appropriate urgency and professionalism

Qualifications:
Previous experience with restaurant cooking preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handlers certification (or must be willing to attain)
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
Ability to work standing for 6+ hours
