As a Feeding and Medication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our furry residents by meticulously handling their feeding and medication requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and provide balanced meals for animals based on dietary guidelines and specific needs per owner’s instructions.
  • Monitor and adjust feeding plans as directed by the facility's protocols and/or owner’s instructions.
  • Administer medications to animals following prescribed schedules and dosage instructions.
  • Document and report any observed side effects or concerns related to medication.
  • Conduct regular health checks on animals, reporting any changes in behavior, appetite, or physical condition to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure proper health care protocols are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in feeding and medication preparation areas to ensure a sterile environment.
  • Adhere to hygiene standards when handling food and medications.
  • Keep accurate records of feeding schedules, medication administration, and any health-related observations in the digital software.
  • Escalate any observed concerns promptly to management.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including Pet Care Pros and Shift Leaders, to ensure comprehensive care for animals.
  • Participate in team discussions and training sessions related to animal health.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of animal nutrition, feeding protocols, and medication administration.
  • Ability to administer medications to animals with precision and care.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration within a team setting.
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
