What We Are Looking For:


The Quality Assurance Actuary plays an integral role in launching new products and servicing existing business in a dynamic and innovative setting. In this role, you will support the product development and policy administration functions and ensure the accuracy of product features and calculations used throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, technically capable, and a strong collaborator. This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters and will report to the Director of New Product Implementation.


What You Will Do:


· Development and maintenance of annuity product calculation engines

· Ability to convert annuity product concepts and features into technical requirements.

· Develop testing and validation tools for administrative and illustration systems.

· Modernization of existing tools

· Build test plans adequately cover policy scenarios and risks.

· Stress test product features and boundary cases.

· Policy statement support

· Work closely with cross functional areas.

· Particularly strong working relationships between actuarial, compliance, business quality assurance, and IT

· Implement quality control procedures and governance.

· Audit trails of annuity transactions

· Support and service inforce business and ad hoc requests.

· Educate various areas of the company on product features and mechanics

Requirements:

What We Require:


· Actuarial credentials or data scientist with strong quantitative background

· Technical understanding and relevant experience annuity products (particularly fixed and fixed indexed annuities)

· Ability to create & improve product validation tools in an efficient way, via Excel, VBA, R, Python, etc.

· Expert attention to detail and organizational skills

· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-motivated with strong collaboration and communication skills
