The Events Coordinator will assist the Director in the planning, organizing, and execution of member and Club events which include holidays, sport leagues and tournaments, cooking classes and wine dinners, children's events, and other themed social events created by the department as well as internal meetings and staff engagement events. Responsibilities include maintaining Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), receiving and answering phone calls, managing outside vendors, and working with internal departments including culinary, F&B, and marketing and communications. The Events Coordinator will help in event preparation including, but not limited to, assistance in the setup of the event space, preparation of activities and decorations, and overseeing events. This is a fun and exciting role that relies heavily on both logistics and creativity.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Creative in nature
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Effective communicator and strong in developing relationships
  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritizing tasks, and time-management
  • Ability to work in a high paced, dynamic environment and work with a high sense of urgency
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, specifically pivot tables
  • Ability to learn, comprehend, and effectively use software systems related to event management and the Club; (ex. NorthStar, Social Tables)
  • Ability to multi-task, switch from task to task, and perform overlapping duties without making errors or missing details
  • Project management skills and demonstrated flexibility
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to interact with members and all levels of staff in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in event billing and BEO creation
  • Must have an interest in events
